Dinner Dance Celebration
A great night was had at our Dinner Dance in the Bridge House Hotel on Friday night last. Congratulations to our Senior hurlers who were presented with their county championships medals by our special guest, Joe Brolly. Many of the team were collecting their fourth county medal in six years. A presentation of a brilliant collage of photos was then made to the management team on behalf of the club. We also had Hurler of the Year awards to be presented as selected by the management teams: Senior – Ger Healion, Intermediate – Shane Guinan and Junior – Daithi Guinan. Well done to all. Special thanks to our players and management, our guest of honour Joe Brolly for his fantastic stories and chat on the night, to Nora Kavanagh, Children’s Officer of the County Board for her lovely words, our Chairman Damian White who did the MC duties and to all our guests who attended on the night. Thank you to the Bridge House for their excellent food and hospitality on the night and to The Groomsmen who kept everyone dancing and entertained into the early hours. Thank you also to our loyal sponsors for their continued support of the club.

Intermediate & U20 Football
The U20 football game which was scheduled for last Saturday was postponed due to an unplayable pitch and has been refixed for this Friday night in Rhode at 8pm. Best of luck to the lads and management. Well done to our Intermediate footballers who defeated Ferbane by 2-9 to 1-9 in the league on Sunday morning in Kilcormac.
There will be registration nights this Wednesday 14th (in Mountbolus) and Thursday 15th (in Kilcormac) from 7pm to 9pm. These will be the final opportunity for all players, members and any new members wishing to join to pay membership for 2018.

Best of luck to the Offaly senior hurling panel, especially our K/K representatives, as they face Kilkenny in the League Quarter Final on Sunday at 1pm in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park and to the Senior footballers who face Sligo afterwards also in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park.
