Colaiste Naomh Cormac Camogie Success
Congratulations to the Colaiste Naomh Cormac U18 camogie team on their Leinster Final victory over Colaiste Mhuire, Johnstown by 2-5 to 0-4 on Saturday last.

Dinner Dance Celebration
Date for your diary! The Club Dinner Dance Celebration & medal presentation will take place on Friday 9th March 2018 in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore. Special guest on the night. Music will be provided by The Groomsmen followed by DJ. Tickets will be available shortly costing €35 each.

Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the Club took place on Friday night last in the Clubhouse in Kilcormac, thanks to all those who attended on the night. The meeting began with a minute’s silence to remember all the deceased members of the club especially all those who have passed away in the past year. Secretary Niall Gleeson and Treasurer Paul Sweeney gave their detailed reports on the year gone by followed by Chairman Damian White’s address. Paul Sweeney informed the meeting of his intention to step down from his role. Thanks to Paul and outgoing Registrar Roddy Molloy for their time and commitment to their roles over the past few years. The following officers were elected for the coming year: Chairman: Damian White, Vice Chairman: Pat Howley, Secretary: Niall Gleeson, Assistant Secretary: Jim Gorman, Treasurer: Mary Kilmartin, Assistant Treasurer: Paul Sweeney, PRO: Paul Craven, Registrar: Enda Doolan, Health & Well Being Officer: Padraig Tooher, Child Welfare Officer: Thomas Feighery, Presidents: Paddy Troy, Jim Leonard, Denis Dooley, Maura Rigney, Kitty Flynn, Joe Molloy, Georgie Troy and John Keane. Committee: Denis Flynn, Brendan Mahon, Willie Coyne, Dolores Slevin, James Buckley, Brendan Monaghan, Aidan Gath, Donal Spain, Mary Kiely, Shirley Gleeson, Sean Donoghue, Carmel Healion, Justin Mahon, Melissa Mulrooney & Orla Murray. The following membership rates were agreed for 2018: Adult Players: €80, Third Level Student (with Student ID): €60, Second Level Student: €40, Non-Playing Adult: €40, OAP: €20, U9s – U17s: €40, U7s: €20. Family Membership: €100 (2 Adults and 2 Children) with maximum cap on family membership of €120. The following team managements were also ratified for the 2018 season: Senior Hurling: Stephen Byrne (Manager), John Leahy, Tommy Bracken and Donal Rigney. Intermediate Hurling: Barry Gorman (Manager), David Gleeson and John Troy. Junior Hurling: Paul Monaghan (Manager), Martin Murray, Alan Healion and Michael Spain. U21 Hurling: John Troy (Manager), Barry Gorman, Paul Monaghan, and PJ Murray. Remaining managements to be ratified as soon as possible. We wish them all the best of luck for the year ahead. An update on the Community Development Project was given by Brendan Mahon, Pat Howley and Denis Flynn outlining the progress made to date regarding planning permission, funding etc. A successful raffle for quad and trailer was ran throughout the year at various inter-county games at O’Connor Park and at the National Ploughing Championships. The main source of funding is from the Patrons Wall for which there are currently 143 donors (€5 per week/€260 per year) and it is hoped that more people will be able to support this going forward to help to bring the project to its completion.

Offaly GAA
Best of luck to the Offaly Senior Hurling panel, especially our K/K representatives, who take on Dublin in the first round of the National Hurling League this Saturday at 5pm in Croke Park and also to the Offaly Senior Footballers who begin their National League campaign against Longford in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park, Tullamore on Sunday at 2pm.

Kilcormac/Killoughey GAA Club would like to express our sincere sympathy to the Regan and Gath families on the death of Florence Regan (née Gath) formerly of Main Street, Kilcormac and to the Buggy family on the passing of Edel Buggy, Durrow. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh siad.
