Thanks again to all the clubs in the county for their support. For those who are living abroad or unable to attend on Sunday, the game will be broadcast Live on TG4 television and on Midlands 103 Radio.

U16 Hurling
Congratulations to our U16 hurlers and management team of PJ Murray, Conor Slevin, Paddy Byrne and Niall Gleeson who had a great victory in the League final on Saturday morning against Shinrone after extra time, winning on a scoreline of 2-20 to 3-14 in a game that swung both ways on a number of occasions. Our lads fought back excellently after a slow start which saw them trail by 1-6 to 0-2 at half time in normal time with Jimmy Kavanagh hitting over both first half points. K/K got a great start to the second half and by the 40th minute, five Cathal Kiely frees in a row had reduced the gap to two points. Shinrone then struck their second goal of the game a minute later to move five clear once again but again our lads responded with another free from Kiely and a brace of points from Aaron Hannon. Hannon then hit K/K’s first goal of the game in the 49th minute to put K/K ahead for the first time. Shinrone again levelled things up which was followed by another brace from Kiely, one free, before Shinrone hit another to leave just one in it again. K/K looked to be heading for victory when points from Cathal Donoghue and Cathal Kiely left it 1-14 to 2-8 with just three minutes to go. Shinrone were then awarded a close range free which they finished to the net and quickly followed with a point and then an injury time free from Cathal Kiely sent the game to extra time – 3-9 to 1-15. Shinrone had the better of the first half of extra time and led by 3-13 to 1-16 at the interval. Another brace of frees from Cathal Kiely reduced the gap to one after the restart. Shinrone extended the gap to two once again before a long ball in from Kiely went the whole way to the net for what proved to be the crucial score of the game. He followed it up with another brace of points as K/K ran out three point winners after another great battle between these two teams. Club Football Meeting
A meeting regarding football in the club for 2018 was postponed last week and will now take place this Thursday 30th November at 7.30pm in the Clubhouse in Kilcormac. All levels of football to be discussed. All welcome to attend.

Kilcormac/Killoughey GAA Club wish to express our sincere sympathy to the Bracken family on the death of Mrs. Ellen Bracken, Newgate, Mountbolus at the weekend. Ellen was a great supporter and dedicated lotto promoter for the club. A minute’s silence was observed prior to the U16 hurling league final on Saturday in which her grandson Charlie played. We would also like to express our sincere sympathy to the Moyney family on the death of Mrs. Ann Moyney, Broughal, Kilcormac. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh siad.
