Best of luck to our Senior hurlers and management as they take on Castletown Geoghegan in Leinster Club SHC Quarter Final this Sunday at 2pm in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park.
Hard luck to our Minor hurlers who lost out to St Rynaghs by 2-12 to 2-9 in the Semi Final on Monday in St Brendan’s Park, Birr. The game got off to a fast start with both sides hitting goals in the first two minutes with Cathal Kiely finding the net for K/K and the sides were level at 1-2 each after seven minutes but K/K only scored one more point for the remainder of the half as St Rynagh’s were on top and hit their second goal on their way to a 2-7 to 1-3 lead at half time. Lochlann Kavanagh hit K/K’s 2nd goal just after the restart to reduce the gap to four. St Rynagh’s were reduced to 14 men soon after and remained 2-9 to 2-4 after forty minutes. K/K then hit five of the next six points to leave just one point in it with five minutes remaining with Cathal Donoghue, Cathal Kiely, Conor Quinn and Dan Murray all scoring but St Rynaghs popped over two more points to move three ahead going into injury time. K/K pushed hard for an equalizing goal but it was not to be as St Rynagh’s ran out three point winners. Team & Scorers: Dan Gleeson, Eoin Kilmartin, Eoin Troy, Eamon Bracken, Jack Screeney, Eoin Gleeson, Cathal Donoghue (0-1), Conor Lowry, Conor Quinn (0-2f), Bryan Mullen (0-1), Ciaran Moore, Cathal Kiely (1-3, 0-2f), Niall Egan (0-1), Rory Gleeson, Lochlann Kavanagh (1-0). Subs used: Dan Murray (0-1) (for C. Moore, 24mins), Aaron Hannon (for N. Egan, 29mins).

All-Ireland Poc Fada
A huge Congratulations to Conor Slevin and Cillian Kiely who retained their All-Ireland Club Poc Fada title on Saturday in Kilmessan, homeplace of our own Jim Gorman. The lads score of 51 pucks was enough to beat off the competition and bring the trophy back once again. Well done lads!
