Senior Hurling
Best of luck to our Senior hurlers and management who take on Belmont in the Semi Final on Sunday at 2.30pm in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park, Tullamore.

U16 Hurling
Well done to our U16 hurlers and management who are through to the final after a 2-17 to 1-9 victory over Tullamore in the Semi Final on Saturday in Rath. The teams traded the first couple of points before Aaron Hannon finished to the net for K/K’s first goal. Further points from Cathal Kiely, Eoin Gleeson and Sean Buckley helped K/K to 1-6 to 0-3 lead after 15 minutes. Aaron Hannon got his second goal in the 28th minute as K/K went in at the break leading by 2-7 to 0-4. Tullamore got their goal in the 39th minute and cut the deficit to 2-11 to 1-7 with a quarter of an hour to go. K/K finished the stronger and outscored Tullamore by 0-6 to 0-2 in the last 15 minutes with Aaron Hannon, Cathal Kiely, Cathal Donoghue and Eoin Gleeson all getting points as K/K booked their place against Shinrone in the final. Team & Scorers: Dan Gleeson, Charlie Bracken, Shane Mulrooney, Jimmy Kavanagh, Jack Screeney, Cathal Kiely (0-6, 3f, 1 ’65), Sean Kilmartin, Oisin Keating, Cathal Donoghue (0-2), Dylan Hand (0-1), Colm Leonard, Eoin Gleeson (0-3), Dan Murray, Aaron Hannon (2-2), Sean Buckley (0-3f). U14 Hurling
Hard luck to our U14 hurling panel and management who bowed out of the Championship after a hard-fought 3-9 to 4-5 defeat to Ballinamere/Durrow in the Semi Final in Moystown. Alex Kavanagh finished to the net for K/K’s first goal in the 16th minute to leave it 1-2 to 0-3. Ballinamere/Durrow responded with a goal of their own from the penalty spot two minutes later. Two goals late in the half for K/K left them 3-2 to 1-6 ahead at the break. Daniel Coughlan pointed another free just after the break to leave three in it but B/D dominated the next ten minutes and hit 2-2 unanswered to move five clear. K/K then took over for the next ten minutes and a goal from Adam Screeney and points from Daniel Coughlan and Alex Kavanagh levelled the game up as the clock ticked down but B/D got the winning point with three minutes to go and despite the best efforts of our lads, they couldn’t get the equaliser. Teams & Scorers: Brecon Kavanagh, Eoin Leonard, Charlie Bracken, Oisin Kilmartin, Robert Boland, Charlie Mitchell (1-0), Daniel Hand, Aaron O’Kelly, Jack Scully, Colin Spain (1-0), James Bracken, Ryan Hannon, Enda Leonard, Daniel Coughlan (0-3f), Alex Kavanagh (1-2).
