Well done to our U16 footballers who got their 3rd win of the championship with a two point win over Clara. K/K got off to a super start and led by 1-7 to no score after 15 minutes with Dan Murray getting the goal. Clara responded with the next four points and the sides then traded a couple of scores to leave it 1-10 to 0-6 at the break. Cathal Donoghue hit K/K’s second goal in the 45th minute to leave K/K 2-12 to 0-9 ahead but Clara rallied strongly and got the next four points in a row to reduce the gap to 5. Clara were then awarded a penalty which they converted to leave it 2-12 to 1-13 with just under 5 minutes to go. That was to be the last score of the game as K/K held out for the win.
