U16 Hurling
Well done to our U16 hurlers who got their championship off to a good start with a 4-16 to 2-10 victory over Tullamore in Kilcormac on Thursday evening. An excellent first half performance saw K/K lead by 4-9 to 1-4 at the break with goals from Eoin Gleeson, Cathal Kiely, Stephen Cooney and Dan Murray and they were able to close out the game in the second half to get their championship off to a winning start. U14 Hurling
Well done to our U14 hurlers who had an excellent 1-15 to 1-4 victory over Tullamore on Wednesday evening in Kilcormac. K/K had a great first half and led by 0-9 to 0-2 at half time with Alex Kavanagh, James Bracken, Daniel Coughlan, Adam Screeney, Charlie Mitchell and Enda Leonard all getting on the scoresheet. K/K had extended their lead to 0-12 to 0-3 after the break before Daniel Coughlan got K/K’s goal in the 44th minute. Tullamore got a goal of their own with just over 5 minutes to go before Colin Spain got K/K’s last point of the game from the penalty spot for an eleven point win. Leinster Poc Fada
Congratulations to Cathal Kiely who successfully retained his Leinster U16 Poc Fada title in Beann Eadair GAA Club, Howth on Saturday last and will now go on to the All-Ireland Poc Fada in the Cooley Mountains in Louth on Saturday 5th August to defend his All-Ireland title. Well done to Jane Lowry who represented club and county on Saturday also and finished 4th in the U16 camogie competition on the day.

Offaly GAA
Hard luck to the Offaly senior footballers and management who lost out to Cavan by 1-17 to 0-16 on Sunday evening in O’Connor Park, Tullamore. Best of luck to Enda, Peter and all the Offaly senior hurlers who play Waterford in the first round of the qualifiers in O’Connor Park, Tullamore on Saturday at 3pm.

Wedding Bells
Congratulations to Brian Leonard and Amelda Middleton who were married recently. We wish them all the best for the future.

Kilcormac/Killoughey GAA Club would like to express our sincere sympathy to the Doherty family on the death of Joe Doherty, Derrinboy, Kilcormac who played hurling with Kilcormac for many years during the 1950s and 1960s.
